Privacy Policy

The short version: we ask for your first name, email and phone number if you want the 90-Day Exit Plan, and we record roughly how people read this page so we can make it better. We don’t sell anything to anyone, and we don’t run advertising trackers. Everything below is the detail.
1. Who is responsible
The Remote Dad Project LLC, which runs Remote Freedom Academy. For anything on this page, email shaunbounds@theremotedadproject.com.
2. What we collect, and why

Two things we specifically do not keep: your IP address is never stored, only used to build the anonymous counter described below; and we record the path of the page you were on and never the query string, which can carry personal details in a link.
3. How visitors are counted
To count people rather than page loads, we make a short code out of your IP address and browser details mixed with a secret value. The code cannot be turned back into either, it is not linked to your name or email, and it is regenerated every day, so it cannot follow you from one day to the next.
This happens whether or not you accept the cookie. It is how anonymous visitors are counted.
4. Cookies
We use two, and no third-party or advertising cookies at all.

Say no and nothing breaks — you are still counted, anonymously, by the daily code above. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser, which brings the question back.
5. Links in our emails
Links in emails we send you go through our own site before continuing on, so we can count the click. Our emails also contain a small invisible image that tells us the message was opened. If you would rather not be counted, most email apps can be set to block remote images.
Where a link in one of our emails brings you back to the site, it identifies you to us, so that visit is connected to your record.
6. Who else sees any of this
We do not sell your details, and we do not share them for anyone else’s marketing. They are handled by the services we use to run the business:
- Calendly — scheduling calls
- Google Workspace — sending and receiving our email
- Kajabi, Stripe or PayPal — taking payment, if you enrol. Card details go to them and never to us. Each has its own privacy policy and security practices, which we are not responsible for.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
7. How long it is kept
- Your contact details — for as long as you are a lead, a student, or might reasonably still want to hear from us, and until you ask us to delete them.
- The record of what we sent you — around 30 days, after which it is deleted automatically.
- How the page was read — kept while it is useful for improving the site.
8. What you can ask for
You can ask us at any time to:
- stop emailing you — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and it works immediately;
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your details entirely.
Email shaunbounds@theremotedadproject.com and we will deal with it. You do not have to give a reason.
9. Children
This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top shows when it last did.
